For two decades, Team Wendy, a Cleveland-based manufacturer of innovative professional-grade helmets, liners, retention systems, and accessories, has been creating their innovative EXFIL line of helmets. As a result of creating the new site on the Kentico platform, Team Wendy has experienced a 14% growth in online sales revenue.

Results

The following data was collected from August 2016–February 2017 and compared to August 2015–February 2016: 

66% increase in organic traffic
36% increase in website sessions
57% increase in direct traffic
345% increase in traffic from social media

Safety First

Team Wendy wanted to update its functionally and visually outdated website and reposition it for a contemporary audience. The site required a robust e-commerce feature, had to be responsive, easy for users to navigate and the content management system (CMS) needed to be simple for Team Wendy employees to manage ever-changing content. 

The new site needed to integrate Team Wendy’s various back-end systems including the CMS, order fulfillment, payment processing through Virtual Merchant and PayPal gateways, shipping, and tax details into one efficient user interface.

Our goals with the website were to add that WOW factor, encourage users to shop and make it [the site] mobile friendly. Since the launch of the Team Wendy website, our traffic has increased and our website sales have increased! Working with thunder::tech, I had all the support I needed to make sure everything was done on time and suggestions were provided to improve the site. Overall, it was a great experience and I would consider using thunder::tech and Kentico again to continue our website enhancements.
