September 2026 Site of the Month

Partner Program Specialist

Key Takeaways

  • Project types spanned the full range: HarborStone, Move Bank and Conexus launched brand-new sites, Pursuit and John H. Carter migrated, and Mandurah, Complete Home Filtration, ASTRO, Hearing Australia and Physics Classroom upgraded.
  • Marketers were the true winners in September, with teams at HarborStone, Move Bank, Conexus and Complete Home Filtration gaining autonomy from developers after leaving WordPress, Umbraco and legacy platforms behind.
  • AI was used in a couple of ways: Azure AI Search powering discovery for Mandurah and Conexus, and an AI migration agent helping Hearing Australia upgrade from Kentico 13 in six weeks.
  • Integrations did the heavy lifting, from TechnologyOne and IntraMaps for Mandurah to HubSpot attribution for Complete Home Filtration and LMS connections for Physics Classroom.

AI-powered search, AI-assisted migration, marketer-friendly content tools and conversion-focused journeys powered our winners for September's edition of Site of the Month. From a Saskatchewan credit union turning a three-way merger into a conversion-ready fresh start, to a hearing health provider that upgraded from Kentico Xperience 13 in six weeks with an AI teammate, these winners exemplify a broad rante of digital innovation. Here's why they caught our attention.

HarborStone Credit Union.

www.harborstone.com

HarborStone Credit Union has been looking after their community since 1955 and now serves more than 97,000 members across Washington. Their marketing team had outgrown WordPress and wanted a platform it could actually drive. Working with Americaneagle.com, HarborStone launched a brand-new Xperience by Kentico site built to give marketers the content and personalization tools they'd been missing in their old platform.

Project highlights

  • Migration to Xperience by Kentico from WordPress
  • Reusable page templates, widgets, content types and forms for the marketing team
  • Out-of-the-box personalization and Lucene-powered search
  • Built to meet WCAG 2.1 A/AA accessibility expectations
  • Online account opening, login to core banking systems, and TimeTrade appointment scheduling
  • AudioEye, LinkLive and calculator embeds, plus Google Analytics and Search Console

What makes this site a winner

HarborStone sets the tone from the first second with a hero video, and the illustrated map of its local area in the background is a lovely touch that feels like something out of a fantasy novel, only with branches instead of castles. Beyond the looks, the site is packed with helpful tools: account comparisons, bill pay, calculators, a mobile banking hub and a FAQ. The mega menu includes widgets that nudge visitors toward the right product. And a timeline carousel in the About section tells the credit union's story with the same care they clearly put into serving their members.

Pursuit.

www.pursuit.com

Some companies sell tickets. Pursuit sells the moment you step onto a glass-floored walkway high above a glacier-carved valley. The travel and hospitality brand connects guests and staff to iconic places through experiences that become stories worth telling, and it worked with E-Cubed Media Synthesis Inc. to migrate their site to Xperience by Kentico.

Project highlights

  • Migration to Xperience by Kentico
  • Immersive, video-led design showcasing each destination
  • Online booking, with the option to add experiences during checkout and pay online
  • Multichannel content that connects visitors directly to experiences
  • Careers section with an online application system
  • News, blogs, events and practical guides, including a "what to pack" video

What makes this site a winner

When you're offering dream vacations straight off a bucket list, the best thing a website can do is put the options front and center. Pursuit's stunning destination videos do exactly that. But this isn't just a pretty brochure site. Visitors can go from daydreaming to booking in a single journey, adding extra experiences at checkout along the way, which is commerce done right for convenience for a travel brand. Add a careers portal, events, blogs and even packing advice, and you've got a complete travel site that makes visitors ready to pack their bags.

Move Bank.

move.bank

Move Bank is a customer-owned Australian bank with a digital-first approach, serving existing members, new customers and long-time legacy users with different needs. Their old website couldn't keep up with any of them, and their marketing team was stuck relying on developers for everyday changes. Move Bank partnered with Zeroseven to redesign and rebuild on Xperience by Kentico SaaS, turning their site into a modern banking experience.

MoveBank homepage featuring a smiling woman holding a phone against a colorful abstract swirl background.

Project highlights

  • Brand-new build on Xperience by Kentico SaaS
  • Custom product management system, giving product information a single source of truth
  • Forms, marketing automation and contact activity tracking for the marketing team
  • Multichannel microsite capabilities, ready for future broker-focused experiences
  • Cloudflare for DNS, SSL, CDN and WAF; SendGrid for email; Google Analytics and Tag Manager
  • Improved accessibility and mobile responsiveness

What makes this site a winner

Move Bank looks young, fresh and fun, with colorful animations that make banking feel inviting. Underneath the personality is a useful site: calculators, a budget planner, live chat, up-to-date interest rates and a help center stocked with tools and important documents. What we like most is the thinking behind it. As Zeroseven put it, too many CMS projects forget the content editors who maintain the site day to day. Move Bank didn't, and its marketers can now run campaigns and update products without waiting on a developer.

City of Mandurah.

www.mandurah.wa.gov.au

The City of Mandurah provides community, civic and public services to residents, businesses and visitors across the region. Their old website was built on aging infrastructure, fragmented content workflows, heavy manual updates and disconnected data sources. Working with Dapth, the City moved to Xperience by Kentico SaaS and replaced their patchworked setup with a connected, governance-driven digital ecosystem.

Project highlights

  • Upgrade to Xperience by Kentico SaaS
  • Live data synced from TechnologyOne (via OAuth) and IntraMaps spatial services
  • Azure AI Search for site-wide search
  • Role-based publishing workflows mapped to Azure Active Directory
  • Structured content types, Content Hub, taxonomies, version history and Page Builder preset templates
  • Multichannel architecture ready for future expansion

What makes this site a winner

Mandurah's site reflects the colorful culture and soul of the city. The homepage opens with search over a video, complete with frequent searches, and creative touches like the shadow cutout and animated popular services keep things lively all the way down. It's also practical: residents can book events through a portal, check bin collection days, pay for services, read the news and give quick feedback on city projects. Behind the scenes, new integrations mean information comes straight from source systems instead of being updated manually.

John H. Carter.

www.johnhcarter.com

Founded in 1933, John H. Carter company provides products, services and support to industrial, commercial and municipal customers from sixteen facilities across five states. With E-Cubed Media Synthesis Inc., they migrated their site, and an enormous technical catalogue, to Xperience by Kentico. Their goal was to create a site to better serve their customers, with a digital platform that could provide a customer portal and a comprehensive product catalog.

Project highlights

  • Migration to Xperience by Kentico
  • In-depth product catalog (PIM) with deep, well-organized categories
  • Services section with featured offerings
  • Detailed industry pages, each with its own contact forms
  • Customer portal for existing clients

What makes this site a winner

B2B industrial buyers know exactly what they need, and John H. Carter's new site helps them find it fast. The product catalog is vast, but its layout and helpful categories make it easy to drill down from a wide range of equipment to find the exact part. Engineers can also come in through services or industries and still land in the right place, with a contact form waiting when they get there. Keeping thousands of interlinked pages this tidy is a content-modeling feat in itself, and a great showcase for how Xperience by Kentico can handle serious catalog scale.

Conexus Credit Union.

www.conexus.ca

In January 2026, three Saskatchewan credit unions came together as the new Conexus Credit Union, a bigger organization serving personal, business and agricultural members. It needed a digital presence to match, but their legacy Umbraco 8 site was tightly coupled to the digital banking platform, so marketing couldn't make changes on its own. BlueModus started with a dedicated content strategy phase, then redesigned and rebuilt the public site on Xperience by Kentico SaaS as a conversion-focused acquisition experience.

Project highlights

  • Brand-new site on Xperience by Kentico SaaS, replacing Umbraco 8
  • Public site decoupled from digital banking, giving marketing full ownership
  • Azure AI Search indexing products, articles, branches and services
  • ACE CRM integration for live rates and form routing to the call center
  • Branch and ATM locator using Google Maps and the CCUA ATM feed
  • Coconut appointment booking and a full analytics stack via Google Tag Manager

What makes this site a winner

Conexus is eye-catching from the start, with animated buttons, flipping cards and animated text that make exploring the site engaging. It's also built around a great customer journey: prospective members are guided toward joining, while existing members can book personalized appointments, check service status, compare credit card rewards or run a mortgage calculator. Expandable widgets keep a lot of banking content tidy, and the Google Maps locator makes finding a branch painless. Most importantly, the marketing team now owns the site outright, ready to build toward personalization and automation on the same platform. It's a fresh identity for a fresh chapter.

Complete Home Filtration.

www.completehomefiltration.com.au

Complete Home Filtration is a trusted provider for whole-home water filtration systems and services for Australian households. They runs a large paid-media operation, but their WordPress and Thrive site setup had no shared design system and couldn't reliably keep UTM parameters across a session. As a result, plenty of their HubSpot leads arrived without their source attached. Dapth rebuilt the site on Xperience by Kentico as a scalable, conversion-ready platform and closed that attribution gap.

Project highlights

  • Rebuild from WordPress and Thrive onto Xperience by Kentico
  • Page Builder component and template library, plus Content Hub for reusable content
  • HubSpot forms with CMS-managed configuration
  • Session-persistent UTM tracking passing campaign source and medium into HubSpot
  • Support for Google Ads, Facebook Ads and EDM campaigns, with editor-controlled SEO metadata
  • More than 99% uptime since launch

What makes this site a winner

This is a project with a crystal-clear business result: every form submission now lands in HubSpot with its campaign source, medium and routing attached, so the team finally knows which channels are actually working. On the front end, the customer journey is just as considered. A playful water-drop button guides visitors along, Google and Facebook reviews build trust right on the homepage, and a consultation survey and problem-and-solution content help homeowners figure out what they need. Editors can now ship campaign pages without waiting on developers.

ASTRO 2026 Annual Meeting Portal.

amportal.astro.org

Anyone who has been to a conference knows the experience is far more enjoyable when there's detailed information about the event. In time for their 2026 Annual Meeting, the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) worked with Americaneagle.com to upgrade its Xperience by Kentico event portal. The goal: help attendees find relevant content and build personal itineraries, while giving ASTRO improved reporting to shape future events.

ASTRO annual meeting event portal dashboard with a navigation menu and content cards for claiming credits, accessing sessions, abstracts, and posters.

Project highlights

  • Upgrade of the annual meeting portal on Xperience by Kentico
  • Personalized scheduling with selective scheduling and conflict handling
  • Exhibitor search and filtering, with featured exhibitor content
  • Reporting on session ratings and schedule additions
  • CMS-managed branding, governance and navigation
  • Saved schedule data stored in Kentico, ready to feed a future mobile app

What makes this site a winner

The portal's retro, creative design gives it a unique personality that stands out. More importantly, it's built to be used on the move, with mobile options. Attendees can filter the calendar of sessions and workshops, add exactly what they want to their own schedule, browse posters and explore an interactive floor plan that links straight to exhibitor booths. The menu is detailed but clear, so nothing is more than a tap or two away. And now, ASTRO's marketing team can gets the data they needs to make next year's meeting even better.

Hearing Australia.

www.hearing.com.au

Here's a migration story with a twist: the project team included an AI agent. Hearing Australia provides hearing services nationwide, and their new website helps adults, children, young adults, First Nations communities and health professionals find care and information. The site ran on a heavily customized Kentico 13 build, but their in-house widgets didn't map cleanly through standard migration tooling, and hundreds of pages needed their layouts rebuilt. DDSN Interactive helped them upgrade to Xperience by Kentico in six weeks, using their Leaping Llama accelerator and Aethra AI migration agent doing much of the heavy lifting under review.

Project highlights

  • Upgrade from Kentico Xperience 13 to Xperience by Kentico, hosted on Azure
  • DDSN's Leaping Llama accelerator providing reusable Page Builder sections and widgets
  • Aethra AI migration agent for supervised content transfer, scaffolding and audits
  • URLs, metadata, image alt text, publication dates and links preserved, with broken links cleaned up
  • Content hub for tagged, classified image assets
  • Embedded React apps and forms carried across, with form data flowing to Microsoft Dataverse

What makes this site a winner

DDSN struck a good balance for this upgrade. An AI agent handled the repetitive transfer work, and people stayed in charge of quality, checking content, links and rendered layouts before handover. Rather than a full redesign, the team modernized what was already there, with a wider responsive frame, an improved header and consistent fonts. For visitors, the site is useful and accessible, with location-based appointment booking, an online hearing check and Google Maps integration.

Physics Classroom.

www.physicsclassroom.com

Physics Classroom offers thousands of free and low-cost learning tools to students and teachers around the world, handling thousands of classes every year. This one has a history with Kentico: their site first moved to Kentico 7 more than a decade ago, migrated by a (then) junior developer named Trevor Fayas. Trevor went on to become a multi-year Kentico MVP and Community Leader, and in 2024 he bought Physics Classroom from its retiring owner. Now owner and developer, he has worked with Heartland Business Systems to rebuild the entire site on Xperience by Kentico. This winner is a great example of the true evolution of Kentico.

Project highlights

  • Complete rebuild and upgrade on Xperience by Kentico
  • Decades of rich-text content restructured using Content Hub workspaces, reusable schemas and taxonomy
  • Custom admin UI order dashboards and a QuickBooks Online integration for quotes, invoices and payments
  • Interactive activities for students
  • LMS integrations with Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, and Google and ClassLink SSO
  • Privacy-first analytics using Xperience's contact system to anonymize student interactions
  • Markdown and LaTeX with MathJax for screen-reader-accessible formulas, hosted on Azure

What makes this site a winner

Students and teachers get a straightforward, easy-to-follow site packed with tutorials, interactive concept builders, online tests and in-depth teacher resources. Behind the scenes, the transformation is just as impressive. Order processing now takes seconds instead of minutes, pages are fast enough to serve live rather than fully cached, and monthly hosting costs have gone down while features and accessibility have gone up. Protecting student privacy without giving up meaningful metrics is a particularly thoughtful touch. This is a thoughtful site that shows what's possible when you bring Xperience by Kentico to the classroom.

Frequently Asked Questions

Site of the Month is a monthly award from Kentico that recognizes standout websites built on its platform by Kentico partners. Each edition highlights projects that show strong design, a great user experience and smart use of Xperience by Kentico features. The September 2026 winners include organizations in banking, government, healthcare, education, travel and engineering. Every featured site credits the partner agency that built it, and past winners are celebrated in Kentico Awards.
Yes, for most organizations the upgrade pays off in speed, editor flexibility and long-term maintainability. Hearing Australia moved from a heavily customized Kentico 13 site to Xperience by Kentico in six weeks while keeping its content, URLs and brand intact. Physics Classroom rebuilt on Xperience by Kentico and now processes orders in seconds instead of minutes, serves faster live pages and pays less for hosting. Upgrading also puts your site on an evergreen platform rather than one approaching end of support.
A migration can take as little as a few weeks, depending on how much content you have and how customized your current site is. Hearing Australia's upgrade from Kentico 13 took six weeks, with an AI migration agent handling repetitive transfer work and people reviewing every page. Sites with decades of unstructured content may take longer because the content needs to be restructured. Physics Classroom handled this by running its old and new sites side by side and moving sections over gradually.
Yes, Xperience by Kentico is designed so marketers can create pages, run campaigns and update content without developer help. Move Bank's marketing team now manages products and campaigns independently, and Conexus Credit Union's marketers fully own their public website. Complete Home Filtration's editors ship campaign pages without waiting on developers, and every lead arrives in HubSpot with its source attached. Developers still handle integrations and custom features, but day-to-day changes stay with marketing.

The easiest way is to browse Kentico's Find a Partner directory, which lists more than 500 digital agencies worldwide. You can compare partners by location, certifications, competencies and past Site of the Month wins. Look for a partner with experience in your industry and project type, whether that's a brand-new build, an upgrade or a migration. Every September 2026 winner was delivered by a Kentico partner, including Americaneagle.com, BlueModus, Dapth, DDSN Interactive, E-Cubed Media Synthesis, Heartland Business Systems and Zeroseven.
