Mike studied psychology before transitioning into software development, starting his technical career at Microsoft working in Visual Basic and distributed computing before finding his focus in content management solutions. That psychology background is not irrelevant to what he does now: understanding how people think, how teams function, and how users actually experience a digital product are the soft foundations that separate good architects from great ones. His introduction to Kentico came through a website rebuild for the Seattle Foundation, where the platform's flexibility and transparency made a strong enough impression to shape the next chapter of his career. Since then he has become one of the platform's most active advocates, speaking at Kentico Connections and industry events, contributing to community best practices around content modeling and headless CMS architectures, and using his MVP status to maintain a direct line to Kentico's product team on behalf of the customers and partners he works with. With over 20 years of software development experience behind him, Mike brings the kind of architectural judgment that only comes from having worked on enough large-scale, high-profile projects to know what tends to go wrong and why.
