Lukas Polak

Chief Financial Officer, Kentico | Financial Strategy, M&A, Business Transformation

Lukáš Polák is Chief Financial Officer at Kentico, leading finance, accounting, tax, and data strategy for one of the leading Digital Experience Platform companies in the market.

His pre-Kentico career sets the foundation. Lukáš built his financial expertise across Deloitte, Heineken, and Honeywell, three organizations that represent very different scales and contexts of financial complexity, and each one added a layer to his understanding of how financial strategy actually drives business outcomes rather than just recording them. He joined Kentico in 2021 as Finance Controller, played a central role in the Kontent.ai carve-out, one of the more complex financial and structural operations a growing tech company can undertake, and stepped into the CFO role in 2023. That internal progression over just two years signals the kind of trust that is earned through performance, not tenure. His approach to the role reflects a clear philosophy: finance should be a strategic partner to the rest of the business, not a reporting function that trails behind it. That means building financial structures that are transparent enough for teams to act on and efficient enough to accelerate decisions rather than slow them down.

Areas of expertise: Financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, M&A, business transformation, corporate finance, budgeting and forecasting, financial modeling, carve-outs, data strategy

Background: Chief Financial Officer, Finance Controller (Kentico, 2021 to present) | Financial leadership at Deloitte, Heineken, and Honeywell
