Since 2019, Kentico’s Site of the Month (SOTM) has celebrated exceptional digital experiences built on our platform. This year, Site of the Month winners were automatically eligible for Site of the Year. Our winners this year show that a successful website is not just about usability or information architecture. It’s about memorability. And now, it's your turn to select your favorite!
The best websites leave a lasting impression, through distinctive design, thoughtful product presentation, and engaging features that create emotional connection. See what our committee has to say about 2025’s winners and honorable mentions, and learn how to get involved by voting in the Community Choice Award.
The Path to Site of the Year
Starting in 2025, every project submitted through the Partner Portal was automatically considered for the Site of the Month award. From there, Site of the Month recognized projects qualified for the ultimate annual recognition: Site of the Year (SOTY).
In many ways, 2025 marked a defining year for Xperience by Kentico, with major advancements across the platform. Expanded AI capabilities within AIRA, enhanced commerce functionality, customer journey insights, and ongoing performance improvements created even more ways to elevate digital strategies. The winning projects reflect that evolution and showcase the forward momentum that Xperience by Kentico brings.
"For me, award-winning digital experiences are about innovation, relevance, and timing, and LA Opera gets it exactly right. It’s intuitive and user-friendly, guiding visitors seamlessly to what they need, whether that’s discovering a performance, purchasing tickets, planning a visit, or finding support. The content is well-structured, clear headings and strong FAQ-style content make it easy to scan, easy to navigate, and genuinely AI-readable; so the right information reaches the right people at the right time."
This year, the Kentico committee evaluated nearly 90 outstanding projects that made the cut for Site of the Year 2025. After careful review, scoring, and discussion, we selected:
- 10 Industry Winners
- 20 Honorable Mentions
Each industry winner represents the very best in strategy, creativity, technical excellence, and business impact within its category. But of course, we all have our own personal favorites.
Among the winners, the honorable mentions also made a lasting impression on our judges, who shared what made each site stand out.
“Aurora Expeditions stands out by pairing stunning, immersive imagery that draws you into the world's most remote places with a remarkably clean, intuitive navigation. It is a great example of how to deliver a complex, multi-region localized experience without ever letting the technology get in the way of a compelling visual story”
Choosing the Winners: Criteria for the Crown
To choose our ultimate winner, we looked at the full picture. First, we explored the design and user experience: was it intuitive, mobile-friendly, and genuinely enjoyable to use?
“Rhythm Japan is a great example of how a travel and booking platform can be both memorable and highly usable. The visual design is bold and instantly capturing the spirit of the experience, while structure remains clear and intuitive. It feels elegant, effortless, and thoughtfully designed from a UX/UI perspective.”
"Honestly, my biggest wow moment this year was the Rhythm Japan website. It instantly made me feel like I should drop everything and book a ski trip to Niseko. That’s the power of a truly great digital experience. Huge congratulations on the well-deserved Honorable Mention in the Commerce category. That said, if I’m casting my vote for the Community Choice Award, I’m leaning toward Bob W. It’s ultra-modern, beautifully designed, and delivers a seamless user experience. On top of that, it really showcases what’s possible with Xperience by Kentico. For me, it’s a perfect blend of creativity, usability, and smart use of the platform."
We also evaluated the technical side, from performance and security to scalability and integrations, and considered the overall complexity. Did the site go beyond the basics with advanced features and thoughtful digital marketing capabilities? Then we reviewed the content to see if it was engaging and tailored to its audience. In the end, the winner stood out for bringing all these elements together into a high-impact experience.
"To me, Eat Pecans is the ultimate winner! Their colorful site, creative copy, and engaging graphics effectively accomplish their goal of promoting pecans in a way that is both memorable and user friendly. The recipe section and fact FAQs are nice additions that paint a full picture of the possibilities of pecans."
