Gabriela Jakabová
I am Kentico's COO. I am responsible for global HR management, finance, legal, and office management.

Why I love Kentico

Kentico is full of great people who together form a very strong team. We come up with new ideas all the time and make a conscious effort to be as up to date and bleeding edge as possible. I have been able to grow alongside Kentico because my role affords me so many fantastic opportunities. It is extremely gratifying to see how far the company has come, knowing that we are pioneers in detecting and acting upon trends in so many areas. I am very proud to be a part of such a venture.

My job at Kentico

I make sure the whole company runs like clockwork—I supervise the Finance, HR, Office, Legal, and Operations departments. I am responsible for setting out our overall strategy and ensuring we stay one step ahead of current trends. That encompasses preparing complex employer branding, creating an award-winning HR website, and working on the recent digitalization of our HR Department.

In the Finance department, I make sure things run seamlessly so our company can thrive. Recently, we successfully implemented a new ERP system within schedule and without any disruption of our work. I am in charge of opening new global offices all over the world, and I had sole responsibility for getting our offices built, furnished, and equipped, in addition to being in control of moving the business there. The transition took only one week, and the office space has since won the prestigious Healthy Workplace Award.

My journey

I joined Kentico very traditionally—via a job advertisement. In 2010, they were looking for an Office Manager. I started working in a small company with 50 employees, one product, and only one office abroad. The company has grown rapidly since then and so have I. Having had to deal with several challenges, I can say I am never bored or idle in Kentico, even though I have been with the company for many years now.
