Kentico’s Product Donations Raise $41,500 for Red Cross and Red Crescent

Nashua, New Hampshire, July 16, 2014 – Kentico Software, the Web Content and Customer Experience Management provider, today announced it has raised $41,500—surpassing its original goal of $10,000—by offering free base licenses for its Kentico 8 integrated marketing solution to customers that donated a minimum of $100 to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

A total of 272 product licenses were donated by Kentico to customers in order to raise money for the charity. Red Cross and Red Crescent will use the money to support its global readiness to respond to disasters and unexpected catastrophes, risk-reduction, long-term recovery and development programs. The IFRC provides support to more than 85 million people annually in disaster response and early recovery programs, and more than 97 million people every year in development programs worldwide.
"Financial support from companies is very important in helping us respond to unexpected disasters and helping vulnerable people," said Stephen Omollo, Head of Strategic Partnerships and International Relations, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. “Worldwide, disasters are increasing in scale and scope. Generous support from organizations such as Kentico ensure that we are able to respond quickly and focus on saving lives.”
In addition to helping to raise funds for the IFRC, Kentico powers the Canadian Red Cross site and recently named it 2014 Site of the Year. Built with Kentico by interactive studio ecentricarts, the site provides for the quick launch of new appeals campaigns, seasonal safety tips, and other content, and it is specifically built to withstand the sudden and very large spikes in traffic that come with global calamities.
