Kentico Demonstrates its Commitment to Community and Environment at Trees for Bugs Event
Nashua, New Hampshire, USA, April 17, 2013 – Kentico Software (www.kentico.com), the Web Content and Customer Experience Management vendor, announces another successful tree-planting event as part of their Trees for Bugs initiative.
This spring’s event took place on Saturday, April 13, 2013, the first weekend of spring-like weather—much to the relief of the 24 Kentico staff and their families who turned up to plant the 220 trees in the town of Pozořice, not far from the location of the famous battle of Austerlitz in the Czech Republic.
“The Kentico Trees for Bugs initiative is not just a team-building event for our company; it symbolizes what we stand for: hard work and team spirit, deep roots in good soil, and healthy, organic growth. It also represents our openness and transparency, genuine responsiveness to the support needs of our community, and a dedication to delivering a reliable, quality product,” says Petr Palas, CEO and Founder of Kentico Software. “Working with the team at Trees for Bugs is just like any other day in the office!”
The Trees for Bugs event involves the Kentico Team volunteering their free time to plant trees for every bug found in the most recent version of Kentico CMS and EMS. Now in its 4th year, the initiative reinforces the company’s first class support services and industry-unique 7-day-bug-fixing policy.
“It’s no wonder our partners and clients rave about Kentico support; not only do queries come in directly to the people who developed the system, but we fix bugs within 7 working days and promise to plant a tree in the name of the bug-finder at the next Trees for Bugs event. Cleaner software, cleaner environment, and cleaner development for our customers—it a commitment we live,” says Juraj Ondruš, Customer Care Manager at Kentico Software.
Kentico CMS and EMS are in a constant state of upgrade and improvement, and so testing of its 70 modules, 400 configurable web parts, and countless built-in features is essential in keeping such a low bug count. And to keep the community and partner network informed, the Trees for Bugs website displays current bug count and country standings of bug-finders and each bug-discoverer can search to see the actual location and photo of the tree(s) planted in their name.
