New year comes with a new version!
We kept our promise and released version 5.0 on December 23. And we believe you will be as excited about the new version as we are.
Kentico CMS 5.0 represents a major step by enhancing the scalability. Version 5.0 brings improvements towards the size of the database – you can now manage 100,000 documents in the content tree and 1,000,000 user accounts stored in the database among others. We achieved that by optimizing the code, database and the user interface – we changed many dialogs so that you can easily work with large number of items. Version 5.0 also supports SQL Server replication that allows you to scale out the database to several SQL Server machines which, together with web farm support, gives Kentico CMS virtually unlimited scalability. These improvements are part of our commitment to delivering enterprise-class CMS that can be used for projects of any size.
Limits are gone! Times are changing and we are preparing many other improvements for 2010, so that we can fulfill our mission – helping you deliver better web sites!
