From the beginning of the project, there were clear goals set: deliver a simple-to-use internal intranet application for building curriculums, improve ease of maintenance of the content on the site, and implement Google Authentication for site access.
The solution leveraged various Kentico tools. Firstly, there was an administrative interface created to maintain the parameters used in the curriculum editor. A course maintenance screen was added for administrators to add courses, assign teachers, update course status, and enter curriculum due dates. Teachers create the curriculums via an easy-to-use form in Kentico. When saved, the form data is put into CSV format that is exported and uploaded to the school district’s Skyward system. In the upcoming semesters, the current curriculum will be updated to reflect all changes.
