What Will You Do?

A Marketing Copywriter must wear many hats. Having a natural flair for expression and an incredible eye for detail are just two of the pre-requisites for this role. Many times you will find yourself cozying up to developers, trying to climb inside their minds and express often very complicated technical ideas to the appropriate audience in a way they will understand. Then, the next minute, you will be dealing with marketers or digital agency executives and attempting to see things through their eyes. There’s never a dull moment. It means having to know how to express the same things many different ways, depending on the persona.

After acquiring an in-depth knowledge of our product, you then should translate it into Google AdWords, web copy, email marketing, etc., as well as wishing our end clients and partners an “appropriately” happy new year in our seasonal messaging. You are the linguistic police and should never let any typos escape. You must be prepared to stick your neck out and tell all levels of staff when they have made a language boo-boo, in the nicest possible way, of course!
