Major upgrades (6.0, 7.0, etc.) are provided free of charge only to the customers who own a license with a valid maintenance. The other clients need to purchase major upgrades.
Minor upgrades (5.5, 6.5, etc.) are provided free of charge to all customers who are authorized to use the related major version (5.0, 6.0).
Upgrade to a Higher License or Edition
If you need to upgrade a single license to a higher license (e.g. to the Server License, Ultimate License or an additional package to the Base License) it's possible to purchase the upgrade at any time later, only for the price difference as long as you have a valid maintenance.
