The setup of Kentico CMS at WebHostForASP.NET is very straightforward:
2. You will receive an e-mail from WebHostForASP.NET with logon information for the Control Panel.
4. Go to Hosting Management -> IIS Manager and ensure DotNet version is selected to .NET 2.
5. Go to Database Management -> MSSQL Manager-> Add MSSQL DB and create a new database.
6. Run Kentico Web Installer and install Kentico CMS on your local machine:
1. Choose target folder.
2. Finish the installation process.
7. Go to Hosting Management -> FTP Manager and find HostName/Address. User name and password are the same as your Control Panel logon details. Copy the files installed on your disk by the Kentico Web Installer to the WebHostForASP.NET server over FTP.
1. You can either upload the files directly in the root of your web site or you can upload your web application to a subdirectory.
2. If you choose to upload your files to a subdirectory, you will need to configure it as a virtual directory in your WebHostForASP.NET Control Panel -> IIS Manager -> IIS Apps.
8. Launch your web application and you will be displayed with database setup screen. Enter the database connection details that you find in the WebHostForASP.NET Control Panel -> MSSQL Manager-> MSSQL Databases. Choose to use an existing database and enter your database name.
9. The system creates tables in your database.
10. Now you can either create the sample Corporate Site or run the New site wizard.
11. You're done.
