"We are starting a major project in 2011 to move our public website (with about 600 sub-sites) from a home-grown classic ASP-based CMS to Kentico. We chose Kentico as it required the least work in recoding our sites and retraining the hundreds of content managers who build and manage our sites and content. The way Kentico works with web content and the interface it presents to CMS users is also very close to what our content managers are used to in the existing system.
To get us off to a flying start with the new .Net technology we decided to make use of the Kentico Consulting Services “Getting Started” package, not expecting too much from some online sessions. However, Kentico went the extra mile and arranged a good deal so that we could fly the consultant out to South Africa for hands-on training and help set up a Team Foundation Server / Visual Studio team development environment with staging and production servers. We also went through our existing code modules to determine the best way of converting and integrating them into Kentico. What we initially believed would be a major time-consuming process that would take us the better part of a year to complete (re-writing hundreds of code modules), turned out to be far easier and simpler when we learned about the Kentico macro language, transformations and custom tables, and how to combine them with existing document types and web parts to achieve our aims. Suddenly things look a lot rosier. The consultant knew the system inside-out and fielded every problem thrown at him. There’s no doubt in my mind that we chose the best CMS for our purpose, and the support so far has been tremendous."
"After several meetings with the client and working out the scope of the website we did a lot of research in choosing the right CMS that had powerful features and that could also be customized to suit ASICS’ needs.
I could’t be happier with Kentico, it provided a robust and stable platform that allowed us to impelement a fully functional website in a short timeframe.
We are proceeding with using Kentico on all major projects moving forward."
