Kentico CMS Enables E-commerce
Brno, Czech Republic, January 25, 2006 – Kentico Software, a web content management solutions vendor, extends its Kentico CMS with a new e-commerce module. It allows web owners to easily integrate a shopping cart into their web site and turn it into a sales tool.
The new version 1.8 of Kentico CMS comes with three new modules: e-commerce, image gallery and forums. It allows developers to create interactive web sites that do not only show content, but also enable visitors to buy products on-line, discuss them in the forums and see product photo galleries.
“Since Kentico CMS already has the most desired content management features, such as workflow, versioning or content staging, we decided to add more value to our content management solution. We are excited about our vision of easy-to-use content management system that enables web developers to create a complete web site with a single tool – Kentico CMS,” says Petr Palas, founder of Kentico Software.
“So far, developers have been using several third-party tools, such as forums or shopping cart components, and they had to integrate them into their project, which wasn’t really straightforward, especially if every application has its own user storage and authentication mechanism,” he adds.
