Kentico CMS 7 Release Candidate

We've just launched the Release Candidate version of Kentico CMS 7. It’s based on your feedback and brings many of the new features and enhancements you’ve been asking for: on-site editing, advanced workflow, translation management, chat, banner management and enhanced support for MVC development.
The highlight of version 7, however, will be Marketing Automation. It’s not included in the RC, but it will be in the final version. Marketing Automation orchestrates existing on-line marketing features, including Contact Management, On-line Forms, E-mail Marketing, Segmentation, Campaign Management and Lead Scoring. It will allow you to automate marketing campaigns, nurture leads and maintain ongoing conversations with your audience. We will publish more details on our blog during the summer.
At the same time, we have worked hard to improve overall user experience: we added a new drag-and-drop web part toolbox, preview in code editors, persistent paging in grids, automatically generated code names and others. We also made the content editing interface much faster. While these enhancements are less visible, we find it important to take a step back to see how we can make your daily life easier by improving the core functionality.
There are even more features that, though aren’t available or are incomplete in the Release Candidate, will be included in the final release, such as Team Development and great enhancements in mobile website development.
Plus we have tried to add something new and innovative: version 7 comes with a fully integrated browser-based wireframe tool that allows you to sketch new pages directly in Kentico CMS and share them easily with your team.
Seven is considered a lucky number in many cultures and I believe this version will make the whole Kentico community happy – developers, content administrators, marketers and partners.
