2/6/2009 - Kentico CMS 4.0 Brings Social Networking Features

Version 4.0 adds a new social networking platform with blogs, forums, groups, friends, wiki, media libraries, message boards, one-click AJAX, URL aliasing, taxonomy, content rating and other great features.

With this new release, Kentico CMS becomes a feature-complete solution for corporate sites, on-line stores and community sites - all of that in a single, easy-to-use and fully integrated package.

The improvements include:

Membership improvements:
- Improved user interface (alphabetical sorter, advanced user filtering)
- Double opt-in registration through an e-mail
- Registration approval by administrator
- Avatar gallery
- Customizable registration form
- Display on-line users
- Mixed mode authentication - use both forms and Windows authentication on a singe site
- Mass e-mail to users

- Community Groups (similar to Facebook)
